This is one of my personal favorites! If you went to my sister Berkleigh’s wedding this is what we did as one of her desserts. In Berkleigh’s wedding we used angel food cake instead of pound cake. Both ways are excellent though.
I have also used raspberries and strawberries over angel food cake. The fruit combinations here are endless. In the picture I used Costco pound cake.
Strawberry and Banana Trifle
1 (3.4 oz) Vanilla instant pudding
2 cups milk
1 (8 oz) cream cheese (room temp)
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tbsp powder sugar
2 cups fresh strawberries
2-3 medium sized bananas
1-2 angel food cakes or 2-3 pound cakes (I usually make the boxed angel food cake)
In a bowl combine your milk and pudding and mix for 5 minutes.
In another bowl with a beater mix the cream cheese and sweetened condense milk together until smooth.
In a third bowl beat the heavy cream and powder sugar together until thick and creamy.
Fold in the heavy cream mixture into the cream cheese mixture and mix until smooth. Then add that to the pudding mixture and mix until it’s completely mixed. Pour over angel food cake or pound cake and fruit in desired format.
